- It is much more accurate and reliable than conventional technology – it guarantees a 95.5 % statistical confidence level and full repeatability of measurement data across all surfaces and conditions – it NEVER provides confusing measurement data (where data from subsequent measurements do not match previous ones).
- It is virtually maintenance-free and highly durable – this is because it uses far fewer components that could break or fail, reducing both costs and operational stress
- The measuring device is not installed on a split rear axle, but directly on the trailer or integrated into the vehicle (even your own used vehicle can be used for integration).
- It does not require the operator to perform their own calibrations to restore constant pressure on the measuring wheel. A contact pressure of 120 kg is generated by the weight of the friction tester itself. In other words, the measuring wheel is loaded by its own weight and is damped by a spring and shock absorber. This ensures the most accurate constant load even on uneven surfaces.
- The measuring device uses no chains, actuators, or hydraulics to control the measuring wheel’s contact pressure, nor does it rely on a set of overly complicated and vulnerable sensors – the BV11 cannot cause hydraulic oil leaks on the track nor burden the operator with frequent calibration and demanding maintenance, which is typical of conventional devices.
